Mr. Speaker, I am pleased to recognize and congratulate Ed Kenealy on his retirement at the end of this year from Liberty Mutual, where he serves as Executive Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, after more than two decades with the company.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Ed for many years. With his great sense of humor and dedication to his profession, he has earned a strong reputation as a knowledgeable and invaluable resource for Liberty Mutual and his community. A graduate of Dartmouth College and Vanderbilt Law School, Ed joined Liberty Mutual in 2005 and has held many senior positions, including Senior Vice President for Liberty International and Chief Public Affairs Officer. In these prestigious roles, he has been an effective advocate for Liberty Mutual and his industry. In addition, his work with many other organizations, especially the New England Council and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, has greatly benefited his community and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a whole. In particular, Ed has been a dedicated advocate for and participant in the Pan-Mass Challenge, an annual bike- a-thon that brings cyclists across Massachusetts to raise money for cancer treatment and research.
Mr. Speaker, I want to join Ed's wife, Deborah, his children, Diana and Andrew, and all his friends, family, and colleagues in celebrating his tremendous career. On behalf of the United States of America, I wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
