This House resolution simply clears the procedural hurdles so the House can consider H.R. 3003, a bill that would change the Immigration and Nationality Act to alter how states can help enforce federal immigration laws. It waives any points of order against the bill, sets a limited one‑hour debate split evenly between the Judiciary Committee chair and the ranking minority member, and allows only a single motion to recommit before final passage.

Key Provisions

  • Waives all points of order that could block consideration of H.R. 3003 and its provisions.
  • Allows the bill to be taken up as read and passed without intervening motions, except for a one‑hour debate equally divided between the Judiciary Committee chair and ranking minority member, and a single motion to recommit.
