AI-Generated Summary

Updated January 8, 2026 at 9:41 AM UTC

This House resolution authorizes the House to consider three separate measures—a change to the definition of a showerhead, a prohibition on the Energy Secretary enforcing efficiency standards for manufactured housing, and a consolidated appropriations bill for FY 2026—by waiving procedural objections and establishing limited debate rules. It essentially sets the floor procedure for these bills rather than changing policy itself.

Key Provisions

  • Waives all points of order and allows each of the three bills (H.R. 4593, H.R. 5184, H.R. 6938) to be considered as read.
  • Limits debate on each bill to one hour, split equally between the chair and the ranking minority member of the relevant committee.
  • Permits only a motion to recommit as an intervening motion on the first two bills.
  • For the appropriations bill (H.R. 6938), sets a specific procedure for retaining certain divisions, voting on them, and then proceeding to engrossment and third reading.
